I Fought the Law and the Law Won

Remember my post on March 30, 2006 – "Spiritual Exercise" Interrupted by Local Law Enforcement. I don’t know if you figured it out or not but the walker was me. As you can well imagine I have been somewhat paranoid ever since. Today it all peaked. If you are driving anywhere in Tecumseh today, drive slowly. On an 8 Km stretch this morning I saw the O.P.P. 6 times. Now what was really ironic was just before I reached the great stretch of non-sidewalk that I had to walk, the cruiser approached. By the time I got to where I was stopped on March 30, my MP3 was screaming out Bryan Adams “I Fought the Law and the Law Won,” when the car came back with lights and sirens going. I nearly lost control of all bodily functions. But alas the officer was pulling over a Mercedes SUV.  Sweet relief for me.

I was shocked to see the same officer 3 more times and another officer twice. The second ticket was handed out at the corner of St. Mark’s and Riverside (This time a BMW SUV) as I was returning home. It was right next to my house. Each time I passed the cruiser I was worried I was in trouble. Evidently the crime prevention squad were focused on high priced SUVs and not on the walkers. Thanks be to God for small miracles.
