Guy and Maureen Dorion

Tonight I was at the Tecumseh Town Council’s inaugural meeting following the recent election. I was privileged to be there to offer a prayer at the beginning of the meeting. I was proud to here my friend and our Ward Councillor Guy Dorion speak in thanks after his acclimation. Guy has been representing our neighbourhood for 20 years now. He spoke so well about representing his ward and all the residents of the town. He was also very gracious and acknowledged his family and his wife Maureen. For sure, it os hard to find better people than Guy and Maureen

Many thanks to them both for all that they do. It is evident in Guy that you have a person who lives with integrity. He and Maureen are people of faith and they witness that in all aspects pf their lives, It was evidenced tonight in Guy’s words and in his demeanour with others.

I offer my prayers for our Mayor Gary McNamara and to the entire town council. I pray in thanksgiving for loyal servants like Guy and his family who support him. Political life is often thankless. "Sister Mary Lauretta said “To be successful, the first thing to do is to fall in love with your work." People like Guy do it because they want to do the right thing and because they can offer something to others. It is obvious when he talks about this town how much he loves it and he loves serving the people in this place. We need more people like him As Mother Theresa would say – “we cannot do great things, only small things with great love. I see that in Guy. Thanks for loving what you do so much.
