Tonight our informal singing group “Avin’ a Cuffer” was performing at St. David’s Church for a down east kitchen party. The group – Bob Cooper, Christian Paulton, Catherinanne and myself came together for the first time a few years ago for a parish party of our own. We have not performed in a while and it was fun to perform tonight. The church raised funds for May House which St. David’s supports for refugee ministry.
We are most grateful to the Rev’d Sue Paulton and to the good people of St. David’s for the kind invitation and for the fun, food and fellowship we all enjoyed. There were a great number of people at the party from St. Barnabas, and St. Mark’s in the West end as well…as they call themselves St. Mark’s by-the-Medical Clinic.
We sang some great Newfoundland tunes tonight and it was good for this East Coast heart. Thanks Christian and Bob and Catherinanne for making a good night of music.
